  Peadiatric hepatoblastoma is the most common liver cancer in children under 5 years of age, with a tendency to affect male individuals. Five-year survival rate is approximately 70%, with similar rates in newborns. Association with specific syndromes has been documented. The most common clinical presentation is asymptomatic, making tumour markers such as alpha-fetoprotein and beta-human chorionic gonadotropin very useful to attain a diagnosis and specially in treatment follow-up, although they are not considered pathognomonic findings in these kind of tumours. Imaging studies and confirmatory biopsy are necessary to establish the correct diagnosis. Treatment is based in a combination of surgery and chemotherapy, leaving radiotherapy to poor prognosis cases.
