Resumen_ingles
Hyperpigmentation of the distal phalanges in newborn infants is a transient benign disorder of infancy that resolves spontaneously and is not related to any other dermatologic disorder. It is a common finding in dark-skinned newborns, but it is less frequent in fair-skinned infants. The pigmentation is observed during the early months of life and decreases in intensity over the course of the first year.
